Financial Accountant required to support the branch reporting processes by closely monitoring ledger data, and
provide accurate branch reports to various local/global teams.Partnering with the business to improve decision-making, ensuring that all external financial reporting requirements (statutory, regulatory, tax, capital etc.)are fulfilled. Reporting to the US parent on standard monthly requirements and ad-hoc requests on both a pillar and legal basis.
-Review branch level ledger data for all of the organisations entities , knowledge of US GAAP or awareness of GAAP differences would be ideal.
-Assist preparation monthly branch packs (P&L and Balance Sheet) including commentary
--Co-ordinate with AccOps colleagues and wider Finance community (Legal Entity Reporting,
FP&A, Tax, Expenses etc.) to ensure that branch entries are correctly booked in a timely basis
-Promptly respond to branch queries from other teams based in London, Europe and the
-Contribute to continuous improvement and enhancements of branch reporting activities
Skills and Experience
Re insurance or Insurance experience ideal
-Experience of preparing management accounts
-Experience identifying, investigating and resolving queries
Strong team player with collaborative working style
-Strong numerical and financial data analysis skills
-SAP knowledge is desirable
-Proficient with Excel
