Remote (UK Based) Lead UX Designer Contract - £600 per day inside ir35

There is an opportunity to work for one of the UK's largest and fastest growing media and publishing companies. Their newspapers are known worldwide and reach more than 30 million people each week! They are looking for a Lead/Senior UX Designer.

The contract is:

- 100% remote

- 3 months rolling

- £600 per day inside IR35

- You must have worked within the Media, Publishing or Ecommerce industry for this position.

Your Role:

  • This role will be part of the design team which is currently a team of 6 designers (UX and UI)

who are all responsible for looking at our product set to push them in the right direction to

ensure they're best in class. Working closely with Product Managers you will help shape

product experiences to meet the customer and business needs, developing new innovative

concepts, and crafting compelling and consistent digital experiences for users across the digital product portfolio.

  • You'll have a passion for design & technology. You'll be hands-on and willing to work in a fast

paced, ever-moving environment and you'll keep up-to-date with the latest trends and be

acutely aware of new practices in the field

Your Experience:

● A design degree or equivalent qualification

● Experience managing a team

● Five or more years design experience and experience using Figma

● Experience working across web, web apps and mobile

● An understanding of delivering user centric solutions in an agile environment

● Experience working with senior level stakeholders

● Creative and conceptual thinker able to develop innovative solutions to problems

● Experience in conducting in-person user studies, guerilla research, A/B testing,

quantitative tests and other research methods

● Previous experience or an interest in news and publishing would be an advantage
