An industry leading organisation is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join its Data Engineering team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make real impact on the technologies we use everyday and lead a group of passionate data engineers in doing so as well.

The role:

you will provide leadership and expertise in developing new techniques, tools and pipelines. You will transform and manipulate geospatial data into forms suitable for visualisation, analysis and further development with your Agile team.

Providing insight and experience to advise data-driven decision making, your focus is on building, maintaining and solving data processing systems to meet business requirements, with an emphasis on security, reliability, fault-tolerance, scalability, fidelity, and efficiency.

Researching and utilising cutting-edge technologies to automate and simplify processes, is all part of the role.

The Skills:

If you are interested in joining a team that lies at the heart of what our client is about, we are looking for someone that can demonstrate essential skills and experience in:

  • A degree level qualification in a quantitative discipline or significant experience in a relevant field, such as statistical modelling or mathematics
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud Services (or similar)
  • Working with any of the following: Databricks, Spark, FME, ESRI geoprocessing
  • Relevant programming language(s) and databases
  • Influencing key business and technical stakeholders, with strong presentation and consultancy skills
  • Providing technical coaching and mentoring

The following skills are desirable:

  • Geospatial data processing and analysis techniques
