Senior Test Verification & Automation Engineer - Edinburgh (Hybrid remote working)

***Must have strong verification skills as well as a background in test automation***

Lorien's client, an established Scottish-born success story with a great history and sights on growth and ongoing upgrades to their already best-out-there product line, has asked us to help them in their searches for a Senior Software Verification Engineer with skills across test automation as well to join their team. Currently undergoing a huge new project set to be delivered over the next 5 years, now's an ideal time to come on board as well!

You'll benefit from great opportunities to use your talents across the Software Verification domain and work with key senior staff including Engineering Managers as you do so, learning as you go and proving you can be a key asset to an already successful team. Not only that, you'll also be offered a generous remuneration package, hybrid remote working as well as flexible working hours, a great bonus on top and exciting progression opportunities for your efforts.

This is the ideal chance for someone who likes the idea working with a great portfolio of products and being part of an organisation that will allow you to give something back to the world in a very direct and rewarding way (it's a formula that has served our client's team well - just ask the people we've placed in these teams already!).

Some of what you'll get up to:

  • Working closely with an Engineering Manager to establish a verification strategy for a major subsystem used across different products and releases
  • Establishing/managing the team's verification environment and assets to enable effective subsystem testing, and designing / executing tests which ensure the subsystem meets all agreed requirements
  • Continuously simplify / automate all aspects of verification where possible

What you'll bring to the table to achieve this:

  • BSc / BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Expertise across all areas of software verification and solid track record of end-to-end Product Ownership
  • Ability to implement automation and test complex systems where software operates with custom hardware as well as use commercial test tools (like Squish), as part of a continuous test approach
  • Previous history of working in a Lean / Agile project delivery environment and improving the wider function by implementing best practice, etc.

There's so much more we have to tell you about where this organisation is going, so if you're up to the challenge and want to have a chat about what they can offer you apply now!

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnerships, pregnancy or maternity or age
