Infrastructure Architect

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join a large Public Sector organisation in Glasgow. You will be involved with the following, but not limited to:

  • Delivering high quality design patterns for re-use, following a HLD, LLD model
  • Guiding a range of stakeholders, from technical delivery to senior leadership
  • Working closely with security and engineering colleagues to define a scalable and highly resilient infrastructure that is fault tolerant
  • Working with a diverse supplier group ensuring value for money and best practice
  • Having a desire to work with the latest technologies, and comfortable creating Proof of Concept services with the engineering team

Essential Criteria:

  • a working background in cloud infrastructure architecture on AWS
  • a working background with cloud platform services (AWS) including: security, high availability and scalable infrastructure
  • knowledge of automation and CI/CD pipelines within a cloud infrastructure
  • able to demonstrate design knowledge in the following areas: Identify and Access Management, Security Monitoring, Audit and Logging, DevSecOps
  • previous working experience of architecting modern serverless patterns in AWS along with traditional workloads: EC2, Route 53, S3, Load Balancing
  • knowledge of designing a ECS/EKS containerised CI/CD platform with serverless capabilities
