Software Release Coordinator

Watford (Flexible working)

£250-300 Per day (INSIDE IR35)

My major client in Watford is looking for a release coordinator, to join their software release team on a contract basis, until the end of January.

Main responsibilities and skills below;

  • Interface and communicate with Release Manager , Test Manager, Dev Managers, IT Ops and the PMO daily
  • Define and agree release and deployment plans with E-commerce
  • Stakeholders
  • Collaborate and coordinate Releases with key stakeholders and third parties for E-commerce
  • Ensure that change request is created owned and managed during the release and deployment activities
  • Prepare artefacts such as Release Calendar and Deployment plan
  • Coordinate with development and testing teams on multiple release cycles and ensure testing is done extensively to predefined acceptance criteria in lower environments and production like environments (Stage) before go-live
  • Maintain release notes and work with Dev tech leads to ensure its ready for deployments
  • Weekly updates to E-commerce program team on activities, progress and release milestones
  • Work with ecommerce Environment Lead to understand and communicate on the lower environment availability / maintenance / downtime
  • Communicate deployment progress for lower environments and Production
  • Create, maintain and own Production Implementation plan / Change Request
  • Ensure appropriate environment configurations are updated and maintained for all parties involved
  • Facilitate CAB meetings
  • Ensure all approvals are in place for planned Production Release Deployment
  • Work closely with Release Manager on Signoff and GO, No Go decisions
  • Check that any problems, known errors and workarounds are documented and accepted by the stake holders
  • A post implementation review of a deployment is conducted through change management
