MS Dynamics 365 FO Functional Consultant - Finance HR

Broad Outline

The purpose of the role is to provide Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, technical systems support and operational guidance to Group Finance, Procurement and business/ brand Operations. The role needs to combine a technical skill set with good customer engagement techniques and a working knowledge of finance.


  • Provide DevOps Services and systems support within the Microsoft Dynamics Op's & Finance product team.
  • Review and maintain user requests and system changes within the IT Service Management tool (Freshservice).
  • Adhere to and promote business request and change management processes.
  • Review and resolve workflow errors.
  • Review and resolve interface error logs.
  • Undertake unit testing and provide support for full user acceptance testing for system upgrades and fix deployments.
  • Maintain designs of third-party documents produced by systems, in line with business requirements.
  • Undertake configuration changes in line with business requirements and appropriate approvals.
  • Undertake root cause analysis for repeating issues, and propose systems and process improvements.
  • Stakeholder management and the recommendation of system solutions and improvements.
  • Analyse business processes and information flows in line with business projects.
  • Review and refine processes to improve efficiency as applicable with the relevant process owner.

Experience and qualifications:

  • Dynamics 365 FO experience is essential (2 years +).
  • Strong knowledge in Core Finance including AR (Accounts Receivable), AP (Accounts Payable) GL (General Ledger), Budget, Cash and Bank management is preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience in effectively supporting finance teams and the ability to articulate service demands and proposed solutions.
  • Previous experience working in a continuous development DevOps environment.
  • Experienced with Financial Systems, including business requirements analysis.
  • Use of an IT Service Management tool (Freshservice) is an advantage.
  • Experience in the deployment of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations in a lead role would be advantageous.
