Senior Product Manager

We are currently recruiting for Senior Product Manager to join an exciting and fast growing tech business in the HR and recruitment space. The ideal candidate will have had experience with Recruitment Technology or HR technology but this isn't essential.

The Senior Product Manager will play a pivotal part in helping them move to being a product led business you will focus on commercialising the software to scale and grow the business, identifying clear routes to market and short and long term commercial opportunities. Focus on producing value for customers, hitting business goals and innovating against competitors.

At this stage in the journey this job has three important facets: 1) tactical - ensuring the team are building features and getting them out the door, 2) operational - tying strategy back to the tactical work and 3) strategic work - positioning the product & company to win in the market and commercialise the business to become a 'market maker'.

  • Define the product vision and strategy - customer centricity is key
  • GTM strategy

Senior Product Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Define route to market including value proposition, messaging, target market segmentation, pricing and channel strategy
  • Work with sales teams & stakeholders to seek out short and long term commercial opportunities to drive growth of the business
  • Set and then deliver against the strategy and financial plan
  • Ensure product initiatives and portfolio provide true business & customer value
  • Balance the work of the team with direction of the company

Transition to a product -led company

  • Create product processes and frameworks that enable the team to uncover the right solutions to build
  • Set success metrics: product metrics that tie results back to business outcomes
  • Set direction using data driven user research & work intensively with customers to understand their problems

Customer centricity

  • Get close to customers to identify understand problems & create value
  • Simplify complex problems, explores solutions & reflects on learning
  • Prioritises initiatives using transparent methodologies

Outcome focused communication

  • Consistently communicate progress across the company - visibility is key -roadmaps
  • Core meetings to evaluate progress: quarterly business reviews, product initiative reviews, release reviews
