senior data engineer

The Senior Data Engineer will work closely with Data Architects and Project Managers as part of project teams to deliver and run technology solutions for our customers. They will work closely with customers to define and agree requirements. They will design, build, integrate and test technology components as solutions are implemented into live service.

They will report into and support the Data Architects as the Data Architecture + Engineering team is managed on a day to day basis and strategic outcomes are delivered. They will lead and mentor junior members of the team.

• Experience in designing and implementing solutions in the Microsoft Azure stack using technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks, SQL Server, Synapse Analytics, Analysis Services and Power BI
• Skilled in data modelling across both operational (OLTP) and analytical (OLAP) use cases
• Experience of Alteryx, Qlik, Tableau and the AWS and GCP platform stacks is an advantage
• Experience of working across end-to-end software development, technology or consulting projects (strategy, discovery, design, development and deployment)
