Java Scala Developer - REMOTE - UMBRELLA OR PAYE ONLY

Our client are currently recruiting for a Java Scala Developer to join the team on a contract on a remote basis.

Description:

• Comfortable with DevOps processes and automated deployments, Infrastructure as Code, declarative deployments/GitFlow. Experience with Azure DevOps/Google Cloud Build preferred
• Familiar with Cloud environments (GCP/Azure preferred) especially Kubernetes deployment, testing and management
• Thorough understanding of agile software delivery including analysis, enterprise development and quality assurance, including TDD/BDD
• Experience with issue tracking management tools (JIRA, Github)
• Collaborative with strong communication skills

Java/Scala/Akka Developer (META Engineer)

• Extensive Java coding skills, developing, and automating scalable enterprise APIs.
• Strong foundation in Computer Science - object-oriented design skills, data structure, and algorithms.
• Experience with Scala and the Akka ecosystem (actors, streams, persistence).
• Experience in building highly-scalable service-based applications.
• Experience with high-performance databases.
• Experience with common Java/Scala testing libraries like JUnit and ScalaTest
