Java & Scala Developer for Audit Projects - Contract - Hertfordshire / WFH

My client a leading FTSE100 company are looking to recruit a Java & Scala Developer for Audit Projects on a contract basis to join their team in Hertfordshire / WFH. Please note this role will be set up through Umbrella or PAYE. The Java & Scala Developer for Audit Projects will be responsible for the following;

• Comfortable with DevOps processes and automated deployments, Infrastructure as Code, declarative deployments/GitFlow. Experience with Azure DevOps/Google Cloud Build preferred
• Familiar with Cloud environments (GCP/Azure preferred) especially Kubernetes deployment, testing and management
• Thorough understanding of agile software delivery including analysis, enterprise development and quality assurance, including TDD/BDD

Key skills and experience for the Java & Scala Developer for Audit Projects:

• Extensive Java coding skills, developing, and automating scalable enterprise APIs.
• Experience with Scala and the Akka ecosystem (actors, streams, persistence).
• Experience with audit projects / developing audit tools
• Experience in object-oriented design skills, data structure, and algorithms.
• Extensive experience with messaging tools (Kafka)
• Experience with data formats in enterprise applications (Parquet/Avro/Protobuf)
