Network and Security Specialist

Lorien are working alongside our market leading client to help them find a Network and Security Specialist to join a proactive and progressive team

The Network and Security Specialist is responsible for the support, development and assisting in the planning of network and system security deployment and maintenance across the entire organization so must be capable of working across different parts of the business and be a strong communicator

The role is varied and broad and will include a variety of tasks and actions including;

• Maintain all aspects of the network infrastructure, including creation and maintenance of accurate documentation related to network hardware, software, processes and configuration
• Install, configure and manage network infrastructure devices (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers and AP's, etc.)
• Troubleshooting security and network problems, investigating security alerts and providing incident response
• Monitor identity and access management, including monitoring for abuse of permissions by authorised system users
• Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them
• Assess network topology and device configurations identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations
• Liaise with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide future recommendations
• Manage, configure and support VLAN, LAN, WAN, SSL VPN & Wi-Fi.

To carry out the role effectively you will need to have a strong technical understanding within Network Administration including skills such as; LAN, VLAN, WAN, SSL VPN, Information Security Solutions and network security monitoring and vulnerability management
