Data Engineer

Lead Data Engineer - 12 month FTC

A Lead Data Engineer is required as our client are in the process of transitioning their data and integration platforms to Azure. This role will own and develop the road map for the data engineering function and have the responsibility to identify, plan, develop and deliver data services.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract.

You will be responsible for

• build of data-streaming systems
• build of a connected enterprise estate
• recognise and share opportunities to re-use existing data flows between systems
• build data engineering capability
• data modelling
• data integration standards
• data integration design
• testing
• programming and build

Key technologies include

• On-premise Microsoft SQL Server
• SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
• IBM Cognos
• Azure SQL Database
• Azure Data Factory

As a 12 month fixed term contract you will receive benefits in addition to the base salary.

This role will initially be based remotely, but there will be a requirement to be on site at short notice.
