About the role

Cyber security is a crucial enabling element in maintaining the trust of our clients stakeholders. It underpins our ambitions to deliver world-class geospatial digital services. To support this, they are currently recruiting an experienced Cyber Security Architect to help lead the evolution of their cyber security capability and architecture.

As the Security Architect, you will develop our clients cyber strategy, policies, principles, reference models and standards across all architectural domains, including those that support the ambitions of a global managed service provider in digital geospatial services. As an experienced Architect you will be a key member of the technology architecture team providing leadership and direction.

This is an important role in bridging the gap between managing risk and the deployment of proportionate controls. You will be expected to provide expert and authoritative advice to architecture and development teams to ensure solutions comply with relevant policies, reference models, regulations and best practices.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience working as a Cyber Security Architect
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards - such as GDPR, DPA, PCI-DSS, Cyber Essentials+, ISO 27001, NIST and those published by the NCSC
  • Consulting skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of deploying cyber platforms - such as SIEM, WAF, Malware Defences and IAM
  • Knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles
  • Technical knowledge of business and cyber security risk
  • Knowledge across the "towers" of an ICT enterprise - such as Azure, EUDs, platforms, networks, mobile and applications

You may also have:

  • Experience of working on competitive bids, proposition development and procurements
  • Formal cyber security certification - CISSP, SSCP, CISM
  • Knowledge of standards such as TOGAF, SABSA or Zachman
  • Good knowledge of cloud and big-data platforms - Azure, Oracle

Location:

This role will be based at our clients state-of-the-art Headquarters in Southampton. However, all their people, where they can are currently working from home.
