An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead QA Engineer, experienced in Automation Testing to join a global organisation in their Leeds, Manchester or London offices.

You will be working across end to end testing, utilising your knowledge of test automation with tools such as Selenium, Protractor and Cypress, building test automation frameworks for functional UI and API testing.

The role will initially be home based, with occasional travel to your nearest regional office and UK based clients.

About the role:

As the Lead QA Engineer, you will be working across multidisciplinary product squads, carrying out comprehensive quality assurance testing. You will be client and internally facing, so you must be experienced at communicating plans to technical and non technical stakeholders.

In addition to this, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building test frameworks to carry out performance testing
  • Cross platform, cross browser testing using technologies such as BrowserStack
  • Building test pipelines using continuous integration tools like Jenkins / TeamCity
  • Designing, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of functional test automation frameworks for complex products
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining and enhancement of mobile test automation frameworks
  • Building QA technology roadmaps for complex products or projects
  • Supporting bids & proposals with technical input and estimations

About you:

As the Lead QA Engineer, you will have had extensive experience within automation testing environments. In addition to this, the following experience would be highly beneficial to your application:

  • Experience with automation with tools such as Cypress, Selenium, Appium, Calabash, or Protractor
  • Cross platform, cross browser testing using technologies such as BrowserStack
  • Test containerisation using technologies such as Docker
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Programming in languages such C# / JavaScript
