License Compliance Engineer

Summary

The Technical Operations Engineer will operate the Call Home SaaS solutions utilised by the License Compliance (LC) team to pursue and manage software piracy cases - and analyze the software piracy information in these solutions to create new LC cases.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze software piracy data in the Call Home solutions to create new LC cases. This requires strong networking skills and a good understanding of how operating systems, software applications and the Internet infrastructure and protocols work
  • Liaise with the SaaS vendors to open and follow-up until completion Enhancement Requests and Support cases
  • Administer and maintain the SaaS-based LC solutions, including managing user accounts, assigning records to the correct contact, troubleshooting technical issues and generating reports
  • Work closely with product management and support the integration of the SaaS vendor's antipiracy (call home) SDK in the solutions
  • Work with all the internal stakeholders, including Legal, Sales Management, Finance, Channels, etc. to maintain compliance with local regulations and policies, including Data Protection, and/or to implement changes in the Call Home solutions to comply with regulatory and product roadmap changes, local policies and go to market strategy, etc

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with commercial Call Home (software piracy detection / license compliance management) solutions, or License Management solutions
  • Experience with network and Internet infrastructure, including how TCP/IP and the Internet works
  • Good understanding of operating systems and system management solutions (preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal, networking and presentation skills. The role requires working with several internal and external stakeholders and gaining internal support for new initiatives (preferred)
  • BsC in Computer Systems, Computer Networks, Cybersecurity or a relevant engineering degree (preferred)
